Raising awareness of FIV
Posted November 20th, 2008 by crownvetHave you heard of FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus)? FIV is a virus of cats that causes a syndrome called feline AIDS which is similar to HIV AIDS in people. While there are similarities between the two viruses there are differences as well. The good news is FIV does not infect people, cause HIV or AIDS in people.
FIV is fairly prominent in the cat population in our area but the good news continues- There is a vaccination against FIV to prevent your cat getting infected.
To find out more information you can read our FIV fact sheet or take the Feline AIDS Risk Test on crownvet.com.au to find out if your cat is at risk of contracting FIV.

Missing attachment in newsletter
Posted December 7th, 2007 by crownvetIf you have just received our newsletter and can't find the attachment it is because instead of it being a normal attachment there is a link at the bottom of the email which if you click will download the newsletter. My apologies for any confusion caused.
I have started using new newsletter management software called phplist and I had some of the settings wrong when I sent the newsletter.
If you still haven't read the newsletter you can get it here
