2008 Hill's Pet Slimmer Club

Pet obesity is on the rise and it is estimated that as many as one in three pets are overweight.
Obesity increases the number of health risks to your pet, which includes heart and respiratory problems, arthritis and diabetes – just to name a few.
Like humans, most obesity in pets is caused simply by eating more calories than they need. This means either too much food or minimal exercise or a combination of both.
To help your overweight pet reach its ideal weight, register to join our Pet Slimmers Club. We will provide you with helpful advice in managing your pet’s diet and exercise routine.
How does the pet slimmer program work?
- We will view your pet to get a body condition score
- Using the body condition score and their current weight we will determine target weight's for your pet and set a goal of the number of weeks to achieve the weight loss.
- Working with you and your pet we will help you establish a feeding plan
- We will help you to establish an exercise program for your pet.
- We will complete a special Record Card for you to track and monitor your pets weight loss.
- Every 2 weeks you and your pet will visit the hospital. We will weigh your pet and fill in their record card and help you make any necessary adjustments to ensure they stay on target.

If your pet achieves their target weight we will nominate them for the Hill's Pet Slimmer of the Year Awards
The national winner will receive $1000 in travel vouchers and a $150 shopping spree for their pet.
State winners will win a years supply of FREE Hill's pet food.
Hills have joined with Weight Watchers to have an owner and pet category this year. Exercising with your pet leads to a greater weightloss success.
Register for the program between the 1st February and 30th April 2008 and receive a $10 off voucher to spend on your next purchase of Hill's Prescription Diet r/d, m/d or w/d.
